Newbie. 2015 380 Matrix

Took the excalibur plunge. New to crossbows but not hunting. Looking forward to discussing and yes learning more about excalibur crossbows and fine tuning it. I have hunted and harvested Deer, Moose , Bear , Hogs and many other species but again never with crossbow. I have both fish and wildlife and law diplomas and conduct deer and wildlife management to properties. Like many of you I enjoy learning and sharing info on hunting and now crossbows. My techy skills on the other hand

Don't be shy about asking questions, the wonderful members are only too happy to help. You'll begin to see a pattern of equipment used, and there's a good reason for it....as you'll find out.

Thanks for the welcome and yep lotsa questions. Gonna try crossbowin for moose in area 21a north of terrace bay. Now that moose declining northern ontario the weekend warriors are crowding most gun areas and more MNR restrictions to follow. Soo sept 20 with 380. OK I know Newtonville whats the BOOFEST

It's a place near Newtonville where husbands run over their wife's bow, dogs pee on that same wife's bow

People tell stories that aren't true

Sometimes it smells like Texas, Maine, Ohio, Michigan etc.

It's family oriented (read no excess drinking or wild stuff) where crossbow like-minded people get together because we like each other from this forum.
There's a charity draw with worthy items. Last year a one of a kind 380 in snake skin was won!
Excalibur staff usually shows up. Even the founder, Bill Troubridge shows up (last year he bailed but this year he and his wife may show up. Danny Miller will be there this year.
There's even some friendly competition in the form of a 3D shoot and a distance shoot.
Do a search and you'll see some pictures. But remember, what has been seen cannot be unseen and what happens at Boofest stays at Boofest except this picture
