MICRO QUESTION

Post by ehntr »

Did a search but the answer to my question doesn't come back. I want to cut some arrows for a Micro but I do not want arrows hanging out beyond the stirrup. Someone please give me the distance asked for in the pic below (from trigger backstop to the outer edge of the stirrup). Thank you 8)

Keep in mind the length of broadhead used. The can go from 2" to less than 1".

Yeah............that is why I was asking for the measurement and not what peoples favourite arrow length was. 17.75 it is, all components included. Going to cut the arrows at 16 inches based on my nock/insert/broadhead length. If I were to base the arrow length on FOC's I would have to cut them to 15". If I use FOCs, I'll let 'em hang out 8)

20 1/4" from the back of the claws to the front of the stirrup. That would be the max total arrow length, inclusive of the broadhead to not protrude.

So the answer is 20 1/4 and not 17.75? If I had one........wouldn't have to ask

17.75" cocked, I started using NAP Thunderheads, and cocked the bow, put a B/H tipped arrow in the groove, and put a dot where I wanted it, then cut mine to 14.75" with no inserts front, or rear, just the carbon portion length, my arrows finished up within 1/32" of 15", 92 grains in the snout, 100 grain heads, 358 finished grains, I put aluminum inserts in the tail end to make pulling them out of the 18-1 using broadheads EASY!

Sorry, 18 1/8" for the Micro 335. That is from the back of the latches to the front of the stirrup.
That last measurement was a 355
