Not impressed with Air Brakes on Micro.

Post by Chefrific »

I just installed the Air Brakes system on my new Mirco 335, and granted my hearing is not the best in the world, but I cannot tell any difference in sound when shooting with it or not. Wife said the same thing.
The micro is amazingly quiet compared to my Vortex, and from the advertisements, I thought that putting this on my new rig would make it even better, but maybe save your money and skip this gizmo if you have a micro and are considering adding air brakes.
Just my ignorant 2 cents...

Very interesting. Boo said he shot the micro with the brakes at the A.T.A. show, and listened while others shot it, and said the noise reduction was significant. I guess perception truly is subjective.

I just couldn't tell a dramatic difference. But my hearing is not the best in world either. Hard to argue with Boo. I'll take his word over mine ANY day.

Aunt Bethany: What's that sound? You hear it? It's a funny squeaky sound.

Uncle Lewis: You couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant.
