Matrix Grizzly on its way.

Post by BobbyR »

My Matrix Grizzly should arrive on Tuesday. Are there any accessories that I absolutely need to purchase before shooting this bow? I am going to purchase a stringing aid, but what lubes and waxes do I need for the bow? I have never owned an xbow, so I am very new to this. Every time I see a UPS truck pass my house, I expect them to stop and drop my bow, even though it is still 4 days out.

Hey bud that's great news..... Please tell us all about it once you sling a few arrows down range. I have the Ibex and am waiting on a 380 but really would like to hear all about your new bow, the pictures and stats, look great...........

Congrats! The stringing tool, you already got it, that is tool #1 in my book! Please get yourself a routine dialed down, it is the only thing that will hopefully keep you from a dry fire! If you have the ADF, good, if not, develop a routine.
1. Cock bow
2. Click on Safety
3. Insert arrow
4. Check to make sure you inserted arrow
5. Check to make sure you inserted arrow
6. Check to make sure you inserted arrow, I think you got it now!
7. Make sure of your target
8. Click off safety
9. Squeeze trigger
10. Do not aim at the same spot!!
11. ENJOY YOUR BOW! :D

I would get some string wax. No rail lube is needed.
Congrats on the new bow. :D

Hey Congrats on the new bow!! Where did you buy your Grizzly? I am looking to get a Cub, maybe. One more piece of advice: Watch where your fingers are at all times with a cocked bow. That bowstring can do lot of damage in a blink of an eye. Welcome to the Excalibur clan and have fun.

Canoe, I finally found them at crossbowexpert.com. Yes, they also have the cub in stock as well. The cub was 449 if I am not mistaken. I ordered on Thursday, they shipped it Friday, free shipping I might add, and it is scheduled for delivery Tuesday. I will let everyone know how it shoots when I get it.
