Micro 335 Scope FYI

Post by xs109c2 »

Just came home from Cabelas in WVA. where they have the Micro's on display but the scope's on them were Octane's? Not what Excaliber advertise? Maybe the same? Just FYI......

Saw the same thing, anyone know anything about the scope, looks like a tact-zone without illumination.

i talked to Dawn at Excalibur a few days ago and asked the question. i had asked if the Octane Dead Zone scope was just a non illuminated Tactzone and she said it was similar to a Varizone. having purchased a 2 Micros i think they rushed to throw a scope in the package. the Varizone is a little too big for Micro use in my opinion. if the Dead zone is better glass and more compact than a Varizone and now come with a Micro package id be wanting to send my Varizones back for replacing. does anyone know what a Dead Zone scope is? its listed in the Micro package details but not on the scope section of the Excalibur accessories.

In a you tube video an Excal rep mentions the "Octane" Deadzone scope. Made by Stryker?
There ya go :)

Now that I think about it, the Stryker 380 I sold here a while back had Octane Bolts.

Just put one on my 335! Seems about the same size as the tac-zone! When it warms up here i will try it out! It has the chevrons for 30 to 50 yards but no numbers beside them like the tac-zone,and speed ring goes to 410fps with no illumination

I seen/held my first Micro this weekend at Cabela's too, the Octane scope was part of that package also, as for the bow...nice. Although I will stick with my Matrix 355 it is all the bow I'll ever need! Speed, compact and user friendly on me and the bow!
