O/T Slowly but surely.............

Post by Sandman »

I got up at 3:30 am and hit the slab (Hwy 401) today heading for the Sharbot Lake area (Bob's Lake to be exact). I arrived at my property at approx 7:00 am and met the contracter. After looking over the property and some discussions an agreement was made for him to put a driveway into the property.

It was bitter sweet for me as this property belonged to my father and after his tragic death in April it unfortunately became mine. My father and I had cleared the bush (one of the last things that he and I had done together) where the driveway was to be built. The original plan was for my dad and I to build a cottage together. I am slowly but surely going ahead with those plans and today was another step forward! I have included a few pics that I took while I was there today and thought I would share them;

Touching story, Sandman. That cottage, gotta be built. Something you can pass on to your kids. Live everyday like its your last.

That's some beautiful Ontario country, you've posted there. Everyone should have a little piece of that. Enjoy!!!

Beautiful place, Robin! I am so sorry that your Dad won't be there to share with you. There will be many memories for you there, though. Keep us abreast of your progress. Striper

Robin,

Beauty spot my friend.
Your toils there will surely be a labour of love.

Keep at it and keep your head up. If you ever need a hand just let me know. I work for beer. :wink:

Sandman,

That's a beauty spot. Just about 30 minutes north me. If you need a hand let us know, or if you need someone to check in on the place now over the winter let me know. RJ can tell you I'm an upstanding citizen. I drive by Bob's Lake on my way to Perth at least once a week during deer season. Can't wait to see the pictures after you get the cottage built.
And have friends who have a trailer on Bob's Lake. Your Dad would be happy to know you plan to enjoy it for years to come.
