This area is alittle more at risk than most of my farm for a thief but with the $59 stealth cam I will take the chance. I figure the ticks will suck the blood total out of anyone walking in more than a 1/2 mile to get the cam. The stealth cam takes much better pictures than the images here show I am having a hard time editing the size down and keeping the clarity good from the walmart Photo CD. I was really surpised how well the pics looked from such a cheap cam when I pic the first roll up from processing a few weeks back. The is kodak 400max speed film in the cam. I have alittle corn scattered around to get more and closer pics. I had 10 deer pics in the last three days at this spot. I moved the cam to a active mineral lick after finding a fresh set of very large tracks there and hope to get a pic of a big boy! On the Cheap Stealth cam I found two tricks that are a must after 3 rolls of film. first I put black tape on the PIR outside edges to make the triggering FOV smaller in the middle zone only so my pics are more centered. The stealth cam has to wide of a PIR FOV triggering to fast for my trail shots only getting the first half of the deer entering the camera zone. Next make sure the film advances. My cam takes some time to make sure it catches the film to move it forward. I learned this the heard way the last roll. Left the cam out 5 days came back had 61 triggers of the cam only 24exp on the film though. When I took the film out it had not even advanced was not loaded right.I was sick that was the most triggers I had yet and not a pic to show from it. Two things to watch but the cam cost $59 so I guess it will not be perfect as a 4200 cam. When it does take pics they are good.

Terry1,
Good pics!
I transfer the pics from the WalMart CD to my (ArcSoft) photo program and the quality is much better. It seem the quality is ok on the images on the CD, it's just that their (WalMart's) photo software is lousy.
Here's a recent pic -

I have yet to get a picture of a fawn on the stealth cam. I have seen a few while out checking cattle though. I think there is alot of old dry does here on my place. It is very limted to no hunting at all over a 5000acre area around me so not many deer get shot and I only take what I need to eat and I am the main hunter in the whole area.. To many does getting old I have been getting alot of pics of big fat does grouped up no fawns with them. I beleive I see most of them on my food plots during hunting season they are big as or bigger than a small buck but never any fawns with them. I Will have to try to take a few more of them out this season but they are some smart old does. They will find your tree stand faster than any buck in the area.
