up to six additional tags in some parts of Ontario

Post by maple »

Here is a link to the MNR's site for info regarding additional tags for certain areas. What a blast!!!

There are multiple extra antlerless tags for many areas, including up to 6 (six) for parts of Ontario. And most areas have at least two extra tags available.
Let's hope the phone lines are built to take the load of all those early morning callers.

Boy, I'm going to have to take more time off work to get out there and enjoy the extended hunt. I'm starting to get cranked up already.

Holy smokes!

Some of those areas have 6 seals available for gun hunts too!
There's gonna be some shootin' and blastin' going on...I'll tell you.
(I hunt 91B sometimes but the 6 extra tags there are gun only :( )

If any of you guys want some help baggin' and taggin' in Eastern Ontario archery areas just holler!

I won't be surprised when all the extra tags in areas 64 and 65 are sold out. Well, maybe not 64A.

At last the government is listening to the facts.

I wonder if this will be repeated next year?

Where on the MNR website did you find the info on the number of additional tags for the WMU. The link provided didn't work for me. I can't find anything on the number of tags in the regs. :?

Thanks for the help

I know exactly where you're talking about! I've seen quite a few in there, a couple of nice bucks one night in June on my way to the Sportsplex.

LW - come out and tour lanark highlands some night around dusk - I've counted upwards of 300 in a 4km square.....all happily munching on the local farmers fields.

It's nothing to see as much as 30 deer in one of three fields in a row off the 416 at Hunt-Club (paralleling Cedarview) on the power-line, 20 more in the next field and another 20 or so in the other, and that's not even inside a kilometer!. I'm sure some of you know which fields I'm talking about. The only thing is you can't hunt there, it's too close to the city. But obviously something needs to be done.

Holy moly!! You guys are styling!! Sounds like many of you may have to invest in another 15 sq/ft deep freezer.

You guys should feel very fortunate.

Your constant questioning of the MNR in its failure to adress the problem of over population has finally paid off. Good for you guys!! Well done!!
