bench rest bags

Hi all,
I was wondering what you folks fill your bench rest bags with? Which is the best? Dried beans, rice, peas...? I don't want to use sand or pea gravel because of the dust factor. Thanks,

I've used rice & dried beans...both worked equally well.

Haven't heard much from ya lately...hope all is well my canuck friend!!

Heavy Sand,,, very dense and very clean, no dust!!

As per Boo's suggestion I use rice and have been very pleased. I have bags filled to different densities which work great.

I have used both sand and rice. Rice is very nice, but I like sand much better. It just seems to hug the stock more securely.

A tip to eliminate the "dust factor" is to vacumn seal first before you put it into the cloth bag. Just remember to not vacumn it too tightly or you will not be able to get a "hugging" rest.

...I tried that once but all of my Cuban friends took out all of rice and beans and made dinner!

I have been using boat cushions. Throw them behind the seat of my truck with my new arrow cases I made so I always have them with me
