At Long Last...

Post by bubba »

At long last , since Oct last year. I have been saving and studying Excalibur bows debating which one was for me, and it was always really down to two. The 380 or the 355, really like the 380, but after shooting it, i realized loading for ten or more shots just simply was a little ruff. And to get all the extras would have left my pocket light. Anyway talked with David at Wyverns, who by the way is one of the nicest yankees you could ever talk with, in fact hes a rebel at heart, trapped in N.H. smile he even sent me a picture of his van with two Rebel battle flags on the back window. Really nice guy. He gave me a deal i couldn't refuse a Matrix 355 with A.D.F. cheek piece, and the Hawke XB-30 Pro SR scope.... I'm in love..Jerry at South Shore Archery made me up a doz of his hair splitting arrows. And tack drivers.. They are. And the results with a Nchunter D-97 string. shooting a 17" Spynal Tapp with a 80 grain brass insert and Flex Fletch sk 300 vanes, and plastic nocks, with 100 grain points, at a total weight of 364 grains is 352 f.p.s. I'm happy, happy... Hope i have not bored anyone................

Bubba,
Maybe I can find the time to come across the County and we can sling some arrows. Maybe we could use the Bucs stadium to set up our targets.
