Rope Cocker

Post by SEC-ond 2 none »

This may be a stupid question, and please don't judge me by it, but has anyone given thought on how to make a four pulley system for the rope cocker? I have thought and thought about this, running different ideas through my head. Like I said, this may be a stupid question from me. Thanks

Double the pulleys=double the amount of rope you'd need to cock the bow. Good thought though. :D The only dumb question is the one never asked.

You know just last week I was pondering that same idea. The single pulley cuts the load by 50% so a double pulley would probably drop it to 25% of draw weight. If you could figure out how to build a miniature block and tackle strong enough to handle the work load that would be way cool. It could eliminate the need for some shooters to use a crank. Go for it and good luck!!

i would guess your hands would be up around your ears before you had the bow at full draw. may also be hard to keep everything straight and not like a rats nest if your in a hurry to cock the bow .would be nice though less effort
