I use a bit of Bohning Seal Tite on mine, when I make them, and all of mine for my babies! Rub it in deep, and just a little bit every 100 shots, or so.

I wax my serving every 25 to 35 shots and the string when it starts to appear dry looking . If your serving doesn't cover your bumpers you'll have to watch this area of the string for wear and add wax when needed .

Less is more, too much and you'll gum up your trigger over time. Every 50-75 shots I'll lightly wax the serving and where the string hits the bumpers and then I apply a little Jigaloo with a micro fibre rag to the rail. I rotate the string end for end to wear on both sides of the serving equally. I never let a string get too dry, but I never apply a lot of wax; I use Dalton's.

I use Dalton's. When I make a string it gets a good coat. Then I apply the serving and apply a good coating to that. After the string is on the bow I wax it as required or every 50 - 75 shots or so. What little wax is left on my hand gets rubbed into the serving, then I clean the rail and apply a fresh coat of Archoil to that.

I wax my serving occasionally, and the string when it begins to look dry or if I see any fuzz starting to show. I clean the rail with a synthetic based lubricant and wipe dry with a clean towel after every outing. When I switched over to custom strings I gave the original strings to a member here and he told me they both looked new. One had about 30 shots on it and the other had around 300.
