Here is a tip for dummies like me! When hunting in a blind or stand, after I cock the CB I put a loose overhand knot into the cocking rope. After hunting and I am ready to de-cock the overhand knot reminds me to check and be sure that I have removed the BH before de-cocking. Guess how I learned that and maybe this will save someone getting injured.

I do the same thing... Hadn't really thought of it as a safety step, but I like your thought process...
I was showing a friend (who just bought a Barnett) how the Excal's can be de-cocked... I think he learned something today...
