I cannot contain for myself my happiness...

Post by gad »

You guys have told me and encourage me to find a way to get one excalibur crossbow, my desire object at this time.

Now the dreams are comming true! I have find a way to bring to Brazil one exomax with varizone scope package.

I have bougth it in two parts, first the acessory package, that is already in my hands, and on the last thursday I have bougth the exomax and I am waiting it to come here (more 10 days, belive me, a loooot of tiiiimmee)... Cannot sleep tonight! My wife tell me all the time that all I am is a big kid (29 years old). I am convinced that it's true (by myself).

Have find a way to pay the taxxes (60%) for the 1/4, so It's not too expensive.

I know that here (at least on my state, PR) I cannot hunt for now, but there are one state in Brazil (RG) when it is legal to hunt, so, on the next year (next winter) I will be on the RG to hunt some of the legal creatures to hunt.

For now, I will target shooting my exomax.

Thanks Bill T, thanks all the rest of the people of this forum that have encouraged me to get this amazing crossbow.

GAD: You made a great choice. Just remember not to get your thumb up high enought to get in the string's way. Striper

Thank you all guys.

Have bought also a package of crimson talon broadheads (on ebay), wich must be in my hands on the next few days.

Do this broadhead make all that it claims to do? Have you used it?

Thanks.

Yeah, already know that old stuff: "difference between boys and men are the price or their toys."

You are right, the wife's of the outdoor's entusiasts are really the best wifes, cause it understood us, our needs to get in the woods, and a lot of another adventures (I have been a climber also)...

with my exomax, is coming also the first excalibur african hunt video, and of course, I will enjoy both videos.

I will let you know about how the things will happen here. I already have made previews contact with crossbows, I have one pistol crossbow and another rifle crossbow brand "kantas". It's a cheap, no quality at all crossbows, but have bring to me good moments on target shooting.

I cannot stay without a excalibur, since you guys have convinced me (on 100% of sure) that is the best crossbow in the whole world.

I am afraind of the power of this machine... (kidding of course).
But I want to know what kind of material could I use to stop these speedy arrows.

Until now, with my kantas crossbow (lower speed possible) I use telephone lists, and, even with this low power crossbow it almost go until the end of this target (3 inches of paper).

How do I stop the power of MAX without damage the arrows? Any homemade target is possible? (since will be too expensive to import a good target (to weight).

gad, you can take a a sack from a 50 pound bag of potatoes and fill t with strips of fiber glass screening or fill it with plastic carry bags. Your bolts will only go in half way and pull out with 2 fingers, but stuff it it fully and compactly or you'll get pass thrus.

I just use fieldpoints on my targets, I use slick Trick broadheds that fly exactly the same as fieldpointsso I wont have to use broads. same as below but without grasshoppers. Broadheads get tangled and harder to pull out.
