Lefty

Post by DuckHunt »

I have a buck I'm after this year with freaky antlers. Its a bit messed up on the left side hence the name "Lefty". After looking back through last year's pictures, I think I may have found him with the same issue.

These first two pictures are from a buck last season.

And here is "Lefty" this season:

His left side has two different spikes with a kicker on one of them.

So do you guys think this is the same buck just a year older?

I agree, it is the same one and needs to be culled before all your bucks look like that.

This is not genetic. It is probably from an injury to his right side a year or so ago. Injuries can cause antlers to grow weird on the off side.

I do think it is the same deer.
