Scope protective caps.

Post by gad »

The protective caps that have come with my varizone does not offer a clear picture of the target where I left them on my scope. No way to fix it from scope ring. If I take them off, all ok.

I am interested on use these protective caps always, to protect the scope lens and to help on target contrast (yellow cap on eye's side).

Do you know where I find good protective caps?

Thank you all!

I never shoot while looking through the caps....they are just to protect during inclement weather and/or storage and transportation.

The caps Red Label is talking about work awsome. As far as looking thru them to shoot goes I do it all the time the amber one works great in dark conditions. I haven't had any problems with acuracy either. Just my 2 cents.

Most of the flip up caps are around $10.00 and well worth it!

Butler Creek!

I use them on All my hunting tools.

They keep your scope dry when it rains and clear and clean; ready for the moment of truth!

Butler Creeks are what I should have, but I broke the bank on thermals.
I use the cheapo lense covers for the x-bow, and Bikini Covers for my 50mm .270. scope.
Never been a problem yet getting them off in time for the shot.

I haven't bothered to get flip up caps for the scope on my xbow. Not that they aren't a good idea, because they are. All my rifles do have them, though, for those scopes that the flip ups are available.
