Fur & Feathers them thoughts are a-ok, the problem is some can not seem to hold their fingers from the key board. quote in part "Do not allow a guest to reply to a post. This is where we get the back & forth bickering that can go on & on & on", it can not be stoped if they are not registered.

We can make all kinds of rules that will make this site very peaceful and quit. Trouble is, in my opinion, it will also become to restrictive and combersome for the site's on good.

This site was created to educate people on crossbows, not just excals, but all makes and models. How many times have we heard the statement I hope this is not too stupid a question, or please do not think my question is too stupid from someone that is trying to learn about crossbows. Most of the times these questions only aris because of misinformations being spread from the anti's. If we make it too dificult for these peole to ask these questions, they will not and then stay ignorant to the truth.

What I think we MUST do is to just rise above these "trolls or baiters" and just IGNORE them. When we respond to their coments and actions, it only adds to their drive to cause more trouble. Ignore them and they will fade away.

My apology to trolls.

I will be the first to admit that I, along with some of you other members on this great
forum, have taken a hard stance on trolls in the past. It's been proven time
and again that this tactic simply does not work, as trolls are by nature bottom
suckers and they simply thrive on negative ions. There is something
intrinsically wrong with their karma, their goo is off balance, and they
have apparently misplaced their mojo. (sorry Austin Powers)

Let me start by saying that trolls are both funny and yet very, very sad.
They are, if you will, the circus freaks of the internet. It's certainly not
nice to laugh at them and I feel absolutely awful about the way I have
historically mocked and ridiculed them. As such, I have decided to turn over a new
leaf. Just imagine for a moment having to go through life living under a
bridge and looking like this:

Now, some of you trolls may take personal offense to this, but you have to
realize that the truth can hurt sometimes. I urge you to get some counseling
and come back when your complete metamorphosis from trolldom is complete.
Non-trolls are always welcome here.

In the interest of keeping a healthy forum and to lighten the load on Dude, our moderator, I present to you my proposal on dealing
with any future trolls. I submit that from here on, anytime some upstanding
member feels their thread is being hijacked by an evil troll, just post a
link to my little picture above. Don't argue with the twisted little fellow,
don't trounce on him for being the spineless jellyfish idiot he obviously
is, just have complete and utter sympathy for him. He is after all, just a
troll. Upon seeing the picture, the rest of us should quickly take the hint
and refuse to become one of the poor suckers shown above. I'm going to take my own
advice on this one, guys. I promise that it will prove to be one humongous
great gob of fun, and nobody will get their feelings hurt too badly, except
for the trolls.

Sorry, but I can't find so much trolls in this forum.
There were some people with very different opinions in the thread about trapping but that's normal in a forum.
And please don't call a person a troll only because he is just a "guest".
Whatever the users think about it, the rules are clear: It's not a crime to write without beeing a member.
I think that here is much more talking about trolls than real trolls.

So let's talk about crossbows!

I wanted to vote that only reg. users could post hoping it would cut down on some of the BS but after reading this thread and seeing reg. users posting BS I am not so sure it would help. Lets just say as has been said before on this forum we are adults here. I would dare to say that we have control over our own fingers! If one of us does not like what is being said on one thread or another we can choses to not read it or not responed. I feel that enough things in our lives are controled by others lets not create another. I vote NO.
