I have always considered them a nuisance. Therefore, I've always just skipped through bear pics, only to pause for truly huge ones (I posted a N. America giant on here a few years ago) or little guys doing cute things.
This year we can kill one. First time in 25 years.
Anyway, I've never seen a bear quite like this one. I is fat as all get out, but small in stature. Looks like height and length of a sow, but i's so fat.
Have never seen a cub with it.
Have read a lot about sow vs boar traits (thick wrists vs thin ones, wide ears, etc)
What are yall's thoughts?
I have plenty more pics of this particular bear. Can upload and post them later if there is not clear consensus.
My gut is large sow. Experts?

Yeah, that's what I figured. We can kill the legally (as long as they are without cub(s) and this one is, but still...
Sucks. I have very small boar and that's it.
We finally get a bear season here and in the weeks leading up to it, the 200 acres of mature timber around me were removed.
Oh well.

Well, I have some more pics of this bear, as well as a sow with cubs and small boar.
This bear probably twice the size of the sow I have with two cubs, and three times the size of the young boar.
Guessing this is actually a right decent boar bear. Hopefully I will be able to connect. We have a guaranteed two day season here in FL that starts this Saturday. Under no circumstances will it be longer than 7 days. Once harvest numbers hit a certain level for each region, the season ends.
We'll see!

From what I've seen a sow with cubs won't hang around a big boar, The big boat will try to kill the cubs so the sow will go into heat again. But the you didn't say you have pics of them running together either. Good luck and settle those nerves get you
