I hope Mr Dennis gets a shot on a nice one this morning. We are not quiet into the rut yet but I saw some big deer there last year and more rubbed trees than i had ever seen before down below where he will be setting.
Im going to take my climber and crossbow . I need some freezer meat so i wont be passing on a shot if a doe walks by me.

we didnt see anything to shoot but it was as beautiful morning as you could ever ask for and we found a spot where the deer poo was steaming...Big stuff too!! so Ill be hammering that spot this eve and in the morn.
At least you did not put him on that hard packed trail with a yellow line up the middle of it .
I have threatened restless persons with those stand positions . Looking for a big deere . John Deere that is .

Papabear,
you hit the nail on the head. I had the time of my life just sitting on that mountainside. Got to hear some turkeys fly down and the squirrels were cutting acorns. But most of all, I have made a new friend for life. Ole Strum is one of the good guys for sure.
