Started Keeping a Little black Book!

Post by amythntr »

.....I have learned so much here over the soon to be 2 years as a forum member...I also have noticed that I sometimes don't remember everything or the fine details of what I have learned....so,

.....I have decided to keep a little black book of all the tips, tricks and other valuable information obtained along the way...to help me and anyone else when I get a call or PM'ed or just see a posting on the forum...

...anyone else do this or d'ya'll have better memories than me?

Good idea! I have been copying some of the more technical threads (how to post pics, arra/insert/broad head/F.O.C., etc.) They are scattered everywhere! I need to put them in a note book. Thanks for the idea. :D

A couple of years ago it was asked if Excalibur (Peter,Bill) to make a book. There are so many variations of each bow and camo choices, risers etc that it's easy to forget. A lot of the time you can narrow down an age of a bow on what it can equipped with. There are rare models like the deluxe vixen as an example, black & camo I think..The camo on that bow is to die for

....'tis true...but for me it is too cumbersome...I like to look through pages of what i have created and edited...knowing I have written it down and the answer is forthcoming...

Yup. Sounds bout right. Once you get into your 50's it's all down hill, memory, eyesight, teeth, can't eat what you used to, and so on. lol. But it beets the alternative. Just the way it is.

.....but the one thing for certain Dale...we all do our best to stay away from the "funeral director"  ...hopefully you are doing the same!

Ya, I here ya, I was a funeral director for over 30 years. Just retired from it this past July. We always say "call before you dig", "any day above ground is a good day".
Now I can hunt without fear of having to leave because there has been a death. Having a hard time getting used to not being on call all my life. But I am getting used to it.
On another note, chalk up another for Team Exomax. I harvested a nice doe Friday night. I started hunting last year and passed on a shot for a nice size buck. Did not feel good about the shot, so I let him go. The opportunities are coming this year though. Gonna have a full freezer this year.
Once again, a big thank you to those that are assisting and showing me the ropes with this. Couldn't do it without their help.

That would be my problem! I put it somewhere safe so I wouldn't lose it and then forget where I put it!! :?

Anthony, will you have all your different bows listed in your little black book? With all pertinent information about each of them...technical details and a number of stars depending how each bow performs???
