Thank You

I would suggest 3/4 from the joint where the Riser/Rail meet .

Is that because it will stretch a crazy amount in the beginning ? Also when I am twisting the string can you just twist from one side or do you need to work back and fourth from one side to the other ?

The string should settle in a little bit and you twist from one side usually counter-clockwise.

This is probably the most critical thread when it comes to the 405.
What is everyone set at?

One says 3/4" from where the rail meets the frontend (there is a seam there).
Another says 3/4" from the REDS.

That is a big difference, as the latter is about 1/2" MORE than the prior.

Mine is set to 3/4" off the rail meeting the frontend and agree it's about 1/4" from the REDS.

I have to believe this is probably the most likely culprit of the limb issues with the 405 if the string is actually lurching forward on the shot due to too little of a brace height. Also have to wonder if it would be better if the REDS were back more to help prevent the forward inertia and stress on the limbs where the limb pocket mounts are.

The bumpers are fine where they are. 8Point and VM were not disagreeing. The brace height is measured from the mentioned seam where the riser meets the rail. The 3/4" brace height puts you 1/4" off the reds. VM said to put it 3/4" off the reds in order to preload the limbs further and reduce settling time on the string. I'm sure Mike will correct me if I'm mistaken. You can shoot with a greater brace height but personally I like 3/4" and wouldn't go lower.
