I leave mine on with the cocking rope hooks on the string to pull it back some off the bumpers.

If you take the "string off" approach, be sure to pull the dissipater pads first.

Mine has been continuously strung now for 6 years - so I guess you could say I leave it strung

I normally unstring mine, but I shot my Micro all last year and will probably do the same this year too.

I always took the string off if I didn't plan to shoot within the next couple weeks. I have a couple friends that own the same model (Phoenix) and they leave theirs strung and hanging in the garage year round with no ill effects. Last couple years I've done the same and it doesn't seem to hurt anything at all.

I store my Vortex and Phoenix with the string on. :)

Unstrung. However, if you have disapator pads or Air Brakes, loosen so the limbs don't press on and ruin the pads .

Even if I didn't shoot em all the time I have never taken a string off any bow,,, except and old Bear recurve built with old world wood and glass, that's it, never seen anything to give me a reason to do different, leave er on and when the urge to shoot it is back,, go fer it!

Good luck with your procedure!!!
