First turkey
Second season with xbow. Two weeks ago got a nice big doe - we like to eat local and it'll be our meat for most of the year. I worked hard for it (sat out a lot of hours waiting for an ethical shot) but it was a good clean kill and for that I'm thankful. This morning while trying for a second I heard 'walking' on the wooded slope behind me. I hunt ground with stick blinds so I sat still thinking maybe deer and they'd come out around me. After a while I was pretty sure it wasn't deer by sound and thought I might have heard a faint warble-gobble. What the heck, I sloooooooooooooooly turned 180 to slightly rise on my knee. Sure enough a flock is above me in the thicker stuff, starting around 20-25yds away. I put a bead on the best (closest cleareast) one and waited for him to step into place where i figured I'd have reasonable shot of not getting deflection. Pass through, breaking opposite side wing-bone and arrow shaft (I did find the pieces). Clean kill and for that I'm grateful!
Such a beautiful regal bird.
Oh and yeah, can't say enough good things about M330. Short draw, light, deadly accurate, stock rises up to fit like a glove!

Gobble Gobble!! Congrats on your crossbow turkey.
Gun control is like trying to reduce drunk driving by making it tougher for sober people to own cars.
