micro335 versus matrix 380

Post by gametrail »

I have a 380 and love it. It is a tack driver. But I have a bad shoulder and it is hard for me to cock [ I have a crank cocker but to noisy for me] I have heard the micro 335 is a lot easier. I want to know if the 335 is as accurate as the 380.

I have both bows.. They are equally as accurate for me.... Here is where I might differ a bit... I find that the 380 is a smoother draw over the Micro. I think for me that because the limbs are much longer, the draw weight does not build up as fast as it does with the Micro, however, the Micro draw is so short that once you begin to feel it, it is over and cocked..

I'm 5'10". With the rope cocker 4" short on the M380 and 3" short on the Micro, I find the 380 a little easier to cock. I'm a longer range shooter. The M380 & M405 , both, suit me better.

Its all in the persons opinion of felt cockin of either of the models yer askin about. The 380 is actually easier fer me to rope cock than the Micro. I use my C2 on the Micro except fer the 2nd or more shots from my tree stands. I leg cock it after i shoot the 1st arrow ! My back n shoulder is ruined, so the C2 noise isn't bothersome too me

I own both bows, and for me, cocking the Micro is smoother (and certainly shorter) than the M380.

My Micro "fits" me better, and thus, I shoot it "better" than my M380. I'm really splitting hairs when I compare accuracy though, because both are super accurate crossbows.

I have 2 380's and one Micro, soon to be one each. They both I feel are equal in cocking effort, the Micro with a shorter draw and heavier, with the 380 longer and not quite as heavy, with a bad back I feel the shorter stroke and less strain on me, and maybe easier to cock.

Accuracy, I agree is equal to a point,,,,,out to about 40 maybe 50 yards, after that I think the 380 shows it is more capable. I shoot the Micro better offhand, but on a bag,, like I say equal out to about 50, saying that the 380 for me is not as accurate off hand, totally me and how they fit me.

If I could only own one,,, it would be a 380, it the best Excalibur I have owned in my opinion,, thankfully I can have both, and both get equal field time!! Like others have said, the differences are clearly splitting hairs. JMO
