How far is too far?

I think it is all relative to the individual circumstance. I have 3 kills over 50 yards in the last 5 years since going to a crossbow, one over 60, and have around 20 kills in that time with half under 25 yards. I have never lost a deer over 45 yards, but have past up more shots between 30 and 50 than I have taken inside 40. Body language, is my main focus. I think it is totally dependent on knowing your own limitations, and understanding the mood that a particular deer is displaying at any yardage as to being reasonable or not.
