Crossbow Stand

Post by chuckinator »

I was looking to purchase the Excalibur Xbow stand @$32 (on Amazon)for target shooting. I looked up Guitar stands and found the same stand made by Comcast for $12. looks identical for the most part. I then found it on Ebay for $11 including shipping. I also thought about making one out of PVC, saw it on an excal 2009 post. it would cost $20 just for materials and it looks like a Frankenstein. Just thought I'd pass it on.

I use a lightweight aluminum camera tripod for supporting my Exomax in the Ground Blind. I glued a thick piece of foam rubber on top of the camera base to sit the crossbow on. It works well and is adjustable for height.

I was fortunate to win an Excalibur stand at Boofest a few years back. It's a great stand, sturdy and stable. Some good prices you dug up there. Hardly worth making one when you can get one for 11 bucks shipped. :)

If I remember correctly a member here has used a guitar stand for a while with success.

Got my stand last week. works great! the only thing I did to give it a little weight is I took off the rubber end caps on the feet and filled them with sand.

No, he didn't post anything on here, he simply suggested it to me.
