? about Angel Majesty and Majesty

Post by GGC »

The topic came up over at the CT forum.
I know Dan Miller and Boo are extensive users of AM along with a lot of people here.
There are conflicting comparisons and I believe incomplete answers over at the other site.
Some ?'s are:
How similar or not is the serving material?
Are both made in Japan?
Where can we buy AM and not be sold a different serving?
If it is labeled Majesty is it Angel Majesty? I think not.

In a bid to resolve a serving separation issue that Excalibur had with the bigger bows like the Exomax and Exocet 200, I came up with 0.035" Angel Majesty serving. I conducted a test with a bunch of members and this is the result.

I forwarded the results to Danny Miller, who is Excalibur's string maker and all Excalibur strings have been served with 0.035" Angel Majesty since.
I am constantly on the look out for better serving and string material and have not heard of a serving called Majesty.

Yes, they distribute Angel Majesty serving http://www.angel-japan.net/eng-serving.htm
It's all the same stuff by a slightly diff name. I guess Danny and I are responsible for the confusion because we started calling it Angel Majesty serving rather than Majesty Serving.
