Buyers Beware! Warning. o/t...sort of

Post by paulaboutform »

I just wanted to give everyone a heads up on this. I was browsing on Amazon.com and came across Toxic Broadheads from Flying Arrow Archery sold by Amazon for $8.12 (regular $44.95).....sale price. Seemed impossible to me so I called Amazon to ask the country of origin. They said it's by Flying Arrow Archery and they had no information besides that. I then contacted Jason Rager, the V.P. of flying arrow archery and sent him a snapshot of the Amazon add. His response was NO WAY! I'LL BE LOOKING INTO THIS TOMORROW! I WOULD NEVER SELL DIRECTLY TO AMAZON!
I just wanted to point this out because I think the Toxics are an awesome broadhead but someone could inadvertently buy a cheap nockoff thinking they were getting a great deal when in fact they're buying junk. I saw the add and it looks perfectly legit. I'm just suspicious by nature and always think if it sounds too good to be true it usually is. Don't get fooled.

Just because he doesn't sell direct doesn't mean a distributor or a store or shop of some sort hasn't got them listed as overstock or returned items listed as used.. But I'm a firm.believer if its to good to be true usually it is

The local shop here has the 125gr toxics for $63.00/3 pack before tax. In the U.S. they're usually between $40 - $50 for the same 3 pack. If anyone was selling them for $8.12 USD per 3 pack I would buy a case of them....if they weren't fakes.

Similar thing is going on with the Magnus Broadheads. From their FB Page:

AMAZON BUYING WARNING!!! Chinese Counterfeiters!!! whenever you purchase our broadheads off of Amazon make sure you look at the origin of the broadhead if it says China it is a counterfeit. Also If your estimated delievery date is 30 days or more chances are it is coming from China and is a counterfeit. All Magnus broadheads are made in Great Bend Kansas and in the USA.

not always a knock off. I found grizztricks for 9.99 a pack. Bought all they had which was 3 packs off Amazon. Sometimes good deals are just that.

If the price is that low.... They are clearly China knockoffsmy son ordered them about a year ago and they were
Clearly crap and knockoffs.....

Be aware that Toxics are not the only brand of BH's that this is happening with!!!!

If it's too cheap...They're almost always China knockoffs!!!!!

Hey Mike, maybe yours were legit but most people looking at the toxics on Amazon would think they were originals. They use the flying arrow archery name and have copied their packaging perfectly and are being sold by Amazon. However, Amazon's lack of information in regards to who they purchased from and the country of origin combined with the manufacturer saying NO WAY leaves me speechless.
