My 7Pt Mount

Post by Drew »

Picked this up from my taxidermist Monday night. I'm really pleased with how it turned out. If I changed anything, the next time I'll have him stand the skull off on a short pedestal and have the head at a slight nose up orientation. It's hard to see the overall height of the rack mounted flat. But the curls sure look cool like this (I think so anyway!).

That's a real nice looking mount. Taxidermist did a great job. :)

Got to say it's much cheaper than a shoulder mount. $150 and he matched our dining room table color with the stain at no charge. I plan on doing most of the animals I take in Africa next year this way just for economical reasons. Not to mention they take up so much less wall space.
