Optimizer with single crosshairs variable power scope ?

Post by figam »

After setting the distance to the target using 3x power can I then change the scope setting to 9x without having to adjust anything and still remain on target?

I know on my hha, the hawk scope doesn't change the hit placement by changing the variable zoom on it. :D

Yes you can. The center of your cross hairs doesn't move when you zoom in or out.

At bow hunting ranges, say 40y and under, there will be no noticeable difference.

But I'll add a layer here, if you use your HHA at extended ranges, let's say 80-120y like paulaboutform does, you might see the effect of parallax. At extended ranges, Paul noticed a significant enough shift in POI when he cranked up the power on his VXR. Maybe he will chime in?

For 3D I leave my scope set at 4. However for things like the breast cancer shoot which is all 20 yards I'll crank it up. :)
