EZ Fletch Help

Post by drkeenan »

This is my first shot at building bolts. Doing a mock up without glue but the aluminum 2219 shafts seem too wide to sit down intothe ez fletch. 'm using the bolt model.

It's not too wide. The shaft won't just drop in, you'll have to put one edge in and push gently to that edge then slide the shaft in. The part holding the shaft is under spring tension to hold the arrow in place.

I agree with Paul. I hold the base and use the base of the arrow shaft to push two of the segments away from the center and down (gently) at the same time. As soon as the shaft clears, it falls in.
I use mine as is but some want the fetchings further back so they drop in a spacer like a piece of pencil eraser.

Is their just the one pinch point? Or is the bolt supposed to clip into the bottom of the device somehow?

No it just rests in the bottom. The rexiever is v shaped. It will accept a moon nock or a traditional nock as well.

I was thinking about getting the EZ Fletch Bolt. Your reviews would be appreciated. Thanks!

Don't even hesitate! Your only regret will be that you didn't get it sooner. My one tip, close the arms very slowly.

Here's another tip.
When you're done with the fetching tool, hang it with the arms in acetone. In an hour or so, the glue is gone! I boogered 2 tools EZ Fletch tools by scraping off the glue before I figured that out!
