I think Noggin hit the nail on the head in this thread. He obviously has on hand experience with long shots. Great post

I practice 40 - 45 yard shots
I had one stand that sat at 38 yards from feeder
Would use when wind predicted it
I hunted from that stand 8 times only made two shots
355 with a 406 grain bolt hit its mark
I passed a few shots was not comfortable with taking them
practice does pay off
May my aim be true and my arrow fly straight
