Dissipater pads (air brakes) and limb savers

Post by Big Mike »

I am in the process of putting my dissipater pads (air brakes) on my 380. The question is where do my Dr Stirrups limb savers go on the limbs. I saw one individual on the site place one before the breaks and the other two after ... Is this correct ?

Yes, that's what I wz talking about. But the crossbow pic on Dr Stirrups website does not have dissipator pads / air brakes. I have seen people put one before the air brakes and two after

Gaston told me they go right where the bend in the limb begins. He said they're most effective stacked together against each other. He put them on my M380 and measured the exact point he wanted them. I can measure the distance tonight and report back in the morning.

Mike, I've got two numbers for you:

- limb strap to the closest limb silencer = 3.75"
OR
- limb butt to the closest limb silencer = 6"
....build the silencers out towards the limb tip from there.
