Waxed dental floss on serving

Post by sproulman »

I saw locally that most use waxed dental floss on their serving on crossbows at club....All use compound type crossbows so they feel it saves getting a new string sooner..Is this good idea I do not see it mentioned here?

If it is the Cool Mint flavor I would not use it if you plan to hunt Whitetail.

In a pinch I used regular dental floss to fill a serving gap to extend string life in the field.

Not tough or round enough. Much prefer Angel or Halo

I keep waxed dental floss for emergency repair on my vertical bow, but for my Excal, I keep a spare string...I don't know if floss would handle the 270 lb draw weight of my micro
