Mule Deer

Post by LongCarbine »

Ok Guys.
I'm looking for a little help. We have been hunting the Bighorns in Wyoming for a while and we love it but it's no longer a given that we draw a tag. So I'm looking at region A (the black hills national forest) and region J (medicine bow national forest) as second choices . Any insight would be welcome.

I hunt the medicine bow and the region between gillete and buffalo every year. Hunt with my dad, 2 uncles and 2 cousins and we almost always fill our tags. Love it out there. Never been denied a tag either.

We do DIY also ,wall tent and the whole works. We were looking at region J just east of Laraime. I would just as soon draw for the Bighorns , we know that area pretty good. Thanks for your input.

I'm about 10 miles north of Wausau. I want to say we were in section C but i will find out for sure and let you know. When we go to the medicine bow some years we go on the Colorado side in unit 7. 30 miles north of green bay..... by Florence?

If it's east of Gillette I think it is "C" Must be on BLM land. We black powder hunted the Wyoming Colorado boarder a few years back 2008-2009 I think. Got 1 small buck.
I'm not that far north . The Oconto Falls area.

My cousin has land near you. When we went to Colorado everyone would muzzleloader and i would use my compound bow. In Wyoming everyone uses a rifle and i used my compound but this last season i got my excalibur and took that. Though last year in section C they stopped the antelope tags.
