Warranty work.

Post by M77 ruger »

Just wondering if you guys do your on warranty work when things happen to your xbow? Like let say you have a limb failure or something like that. How hard are they to change and get lined up? I ask because if you order on line you are kinda on your on with repairs correct?

Did you have to send the bow back to them for repairs? Or did they send you the repair parts and you fix them yourself?

So changing limbs are no problem getting them on and aligned correctly? I only ask because since no one in my area is a Excalibur dealer I will be ordering on line and will be doing all future work on the micro that comes forth and since limb failure seems to be a issue with the micro I need to be able to fix it.

If you have an issue with any Excalibur Crossbow product please contact us directly or use our on-line warranty system. You can either send the product to us and we will repair it or we can also send you parts if you're comfortable doing your own work.

We will do whatever it takes to get you back up and operational with your crossbow. If you screw up and do something nasty like drop your crossbow out of a tree or run over it with your truck...we'll talk. :D

No matter the problem we can help and do our best to be as fair as possible.

I am 66 years old and in the past three years have had rotator cuff surgery on my right shoulder, double hernia surgery and a quadruple bypass. I have also changed limbs on a Excalibur Vortex and a Excalibur Matrix 330 during this time. I just finished putting together a Matrix 350 and plan on taking the limbs off in a few days to add limb dampeners and then reinstalling them.

So to answer your question...it is easy to do. I do cheat a little by using a 3/16" socket wrench to remove my limb bolts instead of a hand held allen wrench.

If you can work an Allen wrench there is nothing you cannot replace yourself. Everything fits in it's place easy as pie. An if you are not sure about something, ask here and you'll get 20 answers quick.

Do the limb dampeners change the weight of your cross bow?
I wanted to install a set on my Grizzly.

Yes, it kind of goes without saying if you add something you will increase the xbow by weight of whatever you are adding. Unless of course you remove something to counter act. If what you are trying to ask is "is it a noticable difference" ? I've added them to 3 of my bows - was it noticeable - no.

If your talking the Dr Stirrup dbKiller limb silencers, why do you take the limbs off ?

Just curious as I put them on without removing the limbs. I slid the dbkillers over the end of the limb and string about two inches on each side. Then put on the stringing aid and cocked the bow. Then I could off one end of the string, slide it out from the silencers and then re attach and repeat on the other side ?
