Planning on 3rd weekend of September, but with recurve in Quebec. Crossbow will have to wait for October if no harvest in September.
Old Indian saying, if a leaf falls from a tree in the woods the turkey will see it, the deer will hear it, the bear will smell it, the moose will not eat it, but be on the look-out for LeGrand.

Heading to area 18A on Sept. 24/04 for 2 weeks. There are 4 of us, 2 crossbow shoters (Exocets) and 2 compound shooters. We where lucky again this year and got 2 bull tags and called in for a cow tag.So far in the last 4 years we have got a moose each year, 2 for the crossbows and 2 for the compounds, this year will be the tie breaker. Can,t wait, boy the days are long.Good luck to all you moose hunters out there.

It's northern Ontario for my buddy and I the first week of October. We would have preferred earlier but work has me state side the whole month of Sept.
We have a bull tag and if none come close then by the weekend we shall take a calf with our rifle as it will be the start of gun season.

It should be an interesting hunt as our hunting companion is the wildlife biologist for that area. He is in charge of conducting areial surveys of the moose population in that district. But that dosn't mean much if you cannot get them to come in within 40 yards right?
