I shoot 425gr. I thinks it is the best compromise over speed and power. Super accurate in my Bulldog 380

My 20" BEEs weigh 485 gr with 150 gr Slick Trick Mags & NuFletch Ignitor nocks.

These arrows are accurate and have the same POI as the 150 gr field points at 25/30 yards.

I think you'll find a direct correlation to the weight of the arrows to the bows that have limb problems. And you're seeing that directly :)

You might consider upping the weight some. A couple years back Excal stopped shipping 150 practise heads and dropped to 100 as people complained they weren't getting the "advertised speed". But the numbers above suggest most people are shooting higher weights than factory

Gentlemen,

Does anyone have an opinion on the following. I am torn between what weight I should have on the front end of my arrows. I currently shoot a Micro 335 Kryptic Raid Suppressed Bow. I am making up some new arrows. I just ordered the Muzzy Trocar HBX broad heads in 125 grain. I also still have my QAD in 125 laying around. I was wondering what insert would you recommend the 92 grain or 110 and why. Just not sure if the extra 18 grains will make any real difference. Also has anyone had any experience with the Muzzy Trocar HBX in a hunting situation?

Thanks in advance

I only use 110gn inserts. Always ensures that my arrows have a good FOC. Good luck!

Is there any correlation between arrow weight and limb failure? Does a heavy arrow reduce the chance of problems? I've never had a limb failure myself, but I see a lot of people complaining that the Micro series and some of the newer bow models with higher draw weight are having a lot of problems. I see people making recommendations to use a heavier arrow (>500 grains). I would like to see some data to either confirm or refute these ideas.
