Count me in, boys, I would do what I can to help too..
I think Red's idea is the most fair-alternating locations one year to the next, but an awesome idea no matter how you slice it...

Count the Boundary Boyz in.When ever or where ever the forum shoot is ,we'll be there!Keep our location in the kingston area in mind.We have a 3d course setup with 40 separate targets. The best may be a neutral location in the toronto area though.Just an opinion.Skeeter. :D

I know 10Ring( if he is still here) has a club in Fort Erie with a 3-d range. Might be a little closer for our southern cousins.

I was just going to say the same thing. This is just on the canadian side of the border and would be about a half way point for those in the Ottawa area and those in Ohio. The CSC has a good layout and was a pleasure to shoot last winter. Jump in anytime 10Ring and let us know if the boys would let us camp on the skeet range or something. There seems to be a lot of land there and you boys wanted a way to increase your archery numbers, LOL. The club is also not far from Niagra Falls a great tourist area with a casino.
Heck and if we had it here in Kingston you boys could all camp in my back yard, I could put 50 or more tents in my back yard and the course is only 15 minutes away.

I'd love to have an excuse to see Ohio!

How easy is it to bring a crossbow from Canada to the US and vis versa?

What if we went for Windsor/Essex area? That would make it 3-4 hours closer for the Ohio guys than Toronto would be. Maybe Gesto Gamegetters? That's the only club I've been to down there but there are many more I'm sure.

Windsor is about 3-4 hours from Toronto, say 6 hours from both Kingston & Huntsville. Maybe we could get a busload from the Toronto area and split the cost evenly. Anybody got "bus connections?"

You guys think about it and I'll post a survey a little later on.

Thanks for the input.

I wondered if this would come up, here are some thoughts;

Negative

1.) 3D with all types of equipment has fallen off in the Niagara region, this means that our volunteer workers have been reduced in number.

2.) Camping, out area is wet, depending on the time of year, it might be "soggy" for tents. Our camping space may be a bit limited, we use a lot of our land for the practice range etc., camping area might be dependant on how many targets we set and how creative we are.

Positive

1.) Fully serviced 2,500 sq. ft. clubhouse.

2.) Lots of 3D's from the racoon size ot a moose.

3.) 45 acres with 2 miles of trails, 7 ponds.

4.) Paved parking lot.

Questions

1.) Is Fort Erie, just across from Buffalo NY a good location?

2.) Would our membership/exectutive go for it? I could ask at the next meeting in mid Sept.

If there is any interest, I can pose the question at the meeting, I am dependant on the will of the members since I am just one of them and can't speak for the club.

Would Ohio be too far for our Canadian members? Some of us Alabamians and Georgians might be able to find Ohio. Striper
