Micro 335 Risers

Post by nchunterkw »

Just curious folks, but can someone post side by side pictures of a 2015 Micro 335 riser and a 2016 Micro 335 riser? I understand the 2016 versions are a bit lighter but is the launch angle different too? The 2014 is a swept back riser, is the 2016 swept back even further? Just curious. I'm happy with my now "vintage, uber-collectable, limited production run 2014 original Micro".

Here you go. Black is the new riser.

Thanks Jeff. Definitely looks like just a little more swept back-ness on the new riser, but not much.

Is the new riser better? Why? If you were going to purchase a micro 335, would you would you try to get a 2016 over the 2015?
Thanks

They certainly have made cuts all the way thru the Riser there by the REDS, compared to the older Riser

It all depends what is important to you.

New riser
swept back
slightly easier to cock
slightly less speed
lighter

Old riser
less swept back angle
harder to cock
more speed
heavier

Honestly both are exceptional products.

For me the new one edges out the old becasue I like a lighter bow & ease of cocking but most of all that is what I have now... :)

Thank you for the information, I'm not very savvy on the tech side. Why would the new riser be easier to cock?

Lighter and easier to cock would be reason for me to pick black one..

Only the Micro 355 riser and rail is black. Yes new risers fit older bows.
