Hope your trip was a great success....looking forward to your tales and pics.

I hope the operation won't curtail your bowhunting. If your Exomag proves too much, we will find a nice Vixen light for you.

I'm still figuring out this camera.

I took a tad over 750 pictures. You've got to love this digital....I wouldn't have taken near as many with 35mm film.

I've got a picture of a sow grizzly and her two year old cubs on her caribou kill in Denali. Of course this was taken about a 1/2 mile away. That is as close as the guide would let us get. I'm trying to figure out how to zoom in on it and post it.

I got a few others including moose, caribou, more grizzlies, and a bald eagle.

Lots of scenery and glaciers..

I'm still catching up on yard work and a few other details.

I'll get back on here soon..

Awesome pictures Woody! Feel blessed that you've witnessed Mother Nature at work. I respect bears, especially Grizzly's.

Send more pictures, we all want to see them.

I hope you and your wife had a very pleasant holiday.

A serious question: (I say that because I'm just a guest)
Is there a danger to be attacked from a bear while hunting from a tree stand?
I mean, what would you do if a bear is crossing your way? :?
(I ask that because I don't live in Canada and I know bears only from the zoo... But even there they are very impressive to me... :? )

Welcome back. Could'nt you find the extra time to go down there and shove those bear to the side and salvage that antler rack ? Great pictures.

Hi Fred..

Yes, there are numeropus instances of black bears trying to get in a stand with a hunter. Most times it is simply curiosity, not really an attack..

"I mean, what would you do if a bear is crossing your way?"

I would hold my ground and talk to the bear. If that didn't work I would holler at the bear. Last resort I would shoot the bear. I woudl NEVER run from the bear.

Pineyriverbuck,

I don't think our tour guide would let me do that.

Good bull though. My guess is that the sow laid up in those willows by the bank and ambushed him.

When Leo gets my other pictures cropped (bless him) I'll post a pic of another good bull - alive. I've got a real good bull moose on film too.
