Damage to Matrix 380 limb

Post by Mr.Whitetail »

I have a question on how fast is the response to Warranty change out on limbs. This week I was getting in some practice shooting before going on a hunt in 2 weeks and as I was shooting I felt a piece of the limb chip off causing the string to pop off and break. The chip was right in the groove were the string holds in place. It's the Matrix 380 in Camo. I need these limbs quick because I'm going after some African Game and don't have nothing extra to shoot. I put in a RMA but I'm afraid not to get the limbs on time.. Any help would be appreciated!!

Personally, I'd give Danny Miller at Horizontal Archery a call. You can easily look the number up with a web search.

Best of luck!

I think he returns Monday.
Contact Dawn, or Peter Monday at Excalibur. They are awesome at getting back out to hunt.

Dan,
I think you should consider a set of spare, blemished limbs ($80 from Excal), a spare shot-in string and a pre-sighted in scope with quick release rings and a set of Allen wrenches plus spare limb brace bolts. Or, a spare Xbow or both.

if Danny Miller is back on monday he will get you a set overnight if you want but id say 2 or 3 days the most. a word of caution with the 80$ blemished limbs. ive gotten several pairs in the past and theyve all been near flawless. i just received a spare set of long limbs for my Axiom from Woodys warranty repair. the camo didnt match well and one limb tip was all black and looked like it was hammered on by king kong and glued using a gallon of glue.lol. if its a warranty issue you should get a crispy brand new set. then purchase an 80$ set of blems for a spare if need be. ive been to South Africa for plains game. best of luck to you. :!:

^^^^All good advice, one phone call will get you fixed up. The travelling Hunter needs back up parts for sure. This is the case with any archery equipment out there. When I shot compound we carried portable vice, spare cables and strings, sight pins...... For xbow, spare string and limbs, scope as well if using the factory offering. The seconds are best option for spare parts and good tool kit to do the work.

I got an RMA # after filling out the warranty form here and shipped my scope the next day... 4 days later I had my replacement from Woody's. I did contact Woody's to let them know my scope was on the way.
4 working days turnaround time isn't bad.

for sure, for sure,
I overnighted my limbs to him,
he called as soon as he got them,
and returned the new ones the same day.. :)
