Yes GaryL, this is how I came upon my name Grey Owl. Late in Feburary I was out walking on our property and was heading back to the car. A few hundred yards from the car, down swooped this beautiful bird. I took my binos. out and admired him for a few minutes. I kid you not, but out loud to myself, I said, "boy I wish you were mine". Now I'm not your most religious guy, but that day the Creator answered my wishes. Because 20 minutes later I was back at the car and heading back home. I reached the highway, and hadn't gone more than a quarter to a half mile, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw something laying on the side of the road. I turned the car around, as I got closer I could see that it was a bird. To my astonishment it was a Great Grey Owl. I'm not sure if it was the same one that I had been looking at, or her mate. But it was still very freshly killed. I'm just believing to myself that the Creator wanted me to have this majestic bird, and sent another one to tell me. I'm so much in dedt to Mother Nature.

My motto has always been, " If your good to Nature, Nature is good to you"

Note: This Grey Owl is a male, females are one third bigger. They were on the Endangered Species List, but have just recently been taken off. Otherwise I would of never been able to keep it.

Hope you enjoyed my picture.

P.S. Ignore the date on the picture, put in new batteries, and date changed.
