With the problems bj's having getting SlickTricks I went ahead and ordered a pack of the Boss Bullets to try. I'll report on performance when I get them and test them on the new yellowjacket target I added to the same order. Might even try a few shots fron my new treestand using my new crankaroo to cock the Exocet. This deer meat sure gets expensive

wabi: If you would, let me know how you like that Crankaroo. I have a feeling that I"ll be needing one alot sooner then I'd like. Old age and a bad back giving me fit.

Hey,

I'm using some 100grain SpitFires by WAP, and they also have the same point of impact as my Fields.

We have them available all over here, so that's another good plus.

I am also greatly interested in the bullet 100s. They seem a bit smaller then the boss but have the same design. Let me know how you like yours Wabi.

I have a ladder stand that has the platform inside the ladder and it's impossible to put the stirrup on the platform and cock it the ususl way. I bought the crankaroo just to be able to cock it when I'm in that stand.
But..... I'm also getting older, and I figured it would be nice to own a crankaroo anyway

3D?

Post by Dunrobin »

Hi - what does 3D mean? I have seen this in a few of the replies - I could guess (both eyes open?) but I probably would be wrong! Thanks...

3D?

Post by Dunrobin »

Thanks Sandman - I feel I have a few more questions in my basket before I graduate from "newbie" to "rookie" - appreciate the picture - how much does a 3D target like that cost? Is it worth it?

I found a Mckenzie Tough Buck at "FX Outfitters" in Cobourg ON for $149.00, not sure if that is a good price or not?? Anyone?

I bought a MacKenzie Aimrite deer for $150 and change CDN 2 years ago. It has replaceable vitals. I think the medium bear was the same price at the time. I could be wrong but I don't think the Tough Buck has the replaceable core.

BTW Sandman - that's a heck of a group in that target you posted. Who shot that for you?

We are really impressed with the Rinehart targets we have been seeing at events. The arrows pull A LOT easier from them. I'm sure they would be more money though.
