Scope Question

Post by Farmer »

Have been shooting my old 165# Exocet forever and have one of the 1st Drop Zones made on it. It has worked great for 2117 /2216's .

Any how I just got a great deal on a 2003 Exomag. The dealer says it has the Max zone scope on it. Should I buy the Vari zone instead? I still have many 2117/2216/2213's to use up, and others are telling me to go to carbon.

Would I need the varizone to maintain accuracy with the different arrow speeds?
Thanks Farmer

Varizone would make it a lot easier if you're changing arrow weights which in turn affects your speed.

Farmer,
I have an Exomag with Max-Zone. I am very happy with it. I shoot primarily Laser II's , but I went out the other day with 2216's and found that they shoot right with the Lasers for me. Very little deviation from point of impact. I have not chronographed either, but to my eye, and ear, I can't tell any difference. I got a good deal on the Max-Zone or I would have gone with the Varizone, but am not unhappy with the performance of the Max.

Go with the Vari-zone. The difference in cost is marginal and it will save you lots of trouble.
