2017 Deer Season Changes

I have reached the pt in my age that i really dislike huntin in this hot temps n then skinnin a cuttin a deer up. So next yr if'en the daytime Temps are above 80 degrees i jus ain't gonna get out in it. I will wait on the cooler temps to roll on in. I got that 10 pt on Weds mornin, n i ain't goin back til this sunday mornin. Weather ppl. says gonna get cooler then. We shall see

Its been really hot here too! Skeeters are really bad, thank God for a Thermacell. I sat last night soaked in sweat! I will go out in the morning when the deer are moving.

I feel your pain deer hunting in hot weather is a bummer I like it chilly not frozen, and I like to let deer hang a spell but that really never happens untill November if at all.

I hear that! Suppose to cool down to the 80's here next week, night time in the 60's. Too old to be fighting the mosquitos and other stuff.

nice on you getting 10pt buck.great.We usually dont hunt in these temps in pa wait too rut time.Getting a buck ends our season you can only get 1 buck in pa thats alright i try for buck like you got and lately after weeks of hunting no deer .last year was stinker no buck ..

we sleep in now and when it cools we hunt evenings only in archery until rut..

it was 85 here in pa today..ugh...

Yup iI am lucky we now have only one Buck in Archery now since they let crossows hunt. My Leaser has landowner permits n i fill hers on the lease n mine here on my place. Allows me 4 Bucks 2 in archery n 2 in Firearms season. Unless a bigger one comes by me in range won't shoot anutter Buck this yr. I will fill all 3 freezers wid fat n tasty Doe's

Thankfully I don't live in Texas because I would never go hunting. I don't see how they hunt in that hot weather, I need it to be in the 60's at the minimum to sit in the woods.
