I was surfing the net and noticed this little photo on a Canadian Outfitter web site. There was no story with it and I have since lost the web site and I cant find it again. Does anyone know the story behind it? It's a long shot but a buck this size word and a story may have gotten around. I dont think it is the Kenora buck seized by the MNR? I blew it up as much as possible without distorting the pic. If anything it is a beauty animal!

Robin

That buck was killed in Illinois last year during their gun season.
North American Whitetail had an article on it.
It does have a LOT of mass just like the Dryden buck.
Only this buck was legal..

You could very well be right Woody. But I'll tell you, there was a big buck of this calber shot only 30 miles north of where our property is, last fall. This buck was also in North American Whitetail magazine, Feb. 2004, page 24. It green scored at 206 1/8 typical pts., its a 12 pointer, shot by Hubert "Tiggy" Collins, of Debden, Saskatchewan. At the time it was scored, it could potentially break the record set by Mel Johnson's 204 4/8 in 1965 in the state of Illinois. Sometime this hunting season I hope to pop in to visit this fellow and take a picture and post it.

P.S. This buck was killed with archery. If it holds, then both World Record Whitetails are both killed here in Saskatchewan. Milo Hanson record breaker of all time was shot about 80-90 miles south of our property. Coincidentally, if you were to take a straight edge, join up both of these bruiser bucks, our property would be exactly on the same line.
