Thanks for all the good words everyone. As any proud parent knows, having your son or daughter take thier first hunting game is a huge thrill. It's been many years since I saw my son take his first turkey, deer or wild hog and he continues to fill those tags every year. The moose was all of those moments and then some all in one event. I knew he would see moose taken on this hunt but it can take a few years to get one as some of our gang are 5-6 years without. It took me 10 years to get my first archery bull ( because I'm calling all the time I get less chances). The Lynx has served him well, don't let the white camo fool you it works great year round. In fact he's never had any snow on the ground for any of the 10+ animals he's taken with it.

Dave, congratulations to you and your son! In Alberta last week. I had the pleasure of being with 2 young men when they took their first big game (moose and a mulie gun hunting). It's a joy and never gets old!

Contrats on a great story and hunt
I have 3 succesful girls that never had an intrest to hunt.but love to eat the wildgame I brought home I do know if they had and been able to harvest an animal I could have not been able to hold back the tears of joy
