They are fun to shoot, no doubt. But my Bear Kodiak delivers more pleasure and delivers it at a faster pace (shot rate not fps). The bow is nicer to look at and weighs a few ounces as opposed to multiple pounds. Feather fletched, cedar grained arrows are more aesthetically pleasing than short little bolts. Obviously, the crossbow can't be beat for hunting success, but I would rather shoot a big buck at ten yards with my Kodiak than at thirty with my Bulldog. Reality is though that I'm much more likely to take a big buck at thirty with the crossbow than at ten with the recurve and in a few weeks I'll be hunting with the Bulldog.

Now if they came out with a Micro 355 Nightmare version, I just might have to pick one up. And I'd like to try a bunch of different bolts even though my Gold Tips fly great. And there are some awesome looking broadheads I'd like to try. Oh, and I want to start target shooting past 100 yards and trying different strings, and ...

....and let me add one thing....Bill is the session leader for those of us in EA (Excalibur's Anonymous) trying to teach us that "one" IS enough...although he is sworn to secrecy due to privacy laws....I can attest that the is finding it very difficult to teach many of us this very simple lesson.

The black mainframe and riser turned out great. My Micro 315 needs that... :)
