Paul,
Thank you...
I think in the off season , I will be dumping the cantilever mounts on my 380 and Stryker... I wasn't sure I'd be able to get away with medium mount rings with the XBR's but they work out great and you don't have to jack up the cheek weld so high..

She looks real nice. Real nice!! I have been looking at the xbr, info on the net is scarce as far as I have found so far.. How is it to set up and how are the yardage markings?

I know of a Canadian source and it's come down to this or an illuminated hawke for me

I have owned the hawke XB series of scopes and the one thing that was always a downer for me was the 24mm objective.... Just not enough light transmission for me in a canopy of trees.... The Hawke scope's are good scopes though..

I'm sure there are others here who can explain better than me how to set up the XBR properly, but all I use is the center dot only and use my top turret ( Up/Down ) to dial in range... Kind of like a Parker Pin -Point scope... I wrap a white tape around the turret and dial in yardage and mark the tape for the yardage i'm sighting in for...

Here is a good thread explaining how guys are using their XBR's...

I used my magnification ring just like I would a speed ring. I have it set on apprx. 3.3 and it is dead on at 20-30-40-50 which is as far as I have shot it so far. Just remember when using it to turn the turret to 20 yards if that is what you are sighted in for.
